Keynote: Weaving a fireproof suit to avoid burnout by Cecilia Lemos
Teachers are often known as people who are always willing to help, go the extra mile to plan and teach lessons that will foster the learning and development of students. But many times that takes a toll, and it's not unusual to hear about burnout teachers - some go as far as abandoning education altogether. In this talk, I share my experience, common symptoms and especially things you can "weave" into a protective suit to keep the "fire" away and prevent burnout.
Bio Cecilia Lemos is an EFL teacher, teacher trainer and materials writer. She teaches in her hometown of Recife, PE. She’s been a teacher since 1993 and is very passionate about it. She is especially interested in assessment, lesson observation, teacher development and correction.
