Opening Address: The Goal-Minded Teacher with Lisa Dabbs & Shelly Sanchez Terrell
Lisa Dabbs is a passionate educator, based in Southern California. She has an extensive educational background having worked in the industry for more than twenty years as a school principal, federal project director and teacher. She's also an Adjunct Professor for the University of La Verne.
As an education consultant, blogger, and speaker, she's active in social media as a Resident Blogger at Edutopia.org and Teachability. As an advocate of literacy, Lisa served as a library board trustee and is currently the vice president of an award-winning literacy nonprofit in her town. She also serves as a part time consultant wih @iThinkWrite and @RemindHQ. On Lisa's blog, Teaching with Soul, she seeks to inspire, mentor, equip teachers to "teach with soul". She is the founder of New Teacher Chat, #ntchat, and shares her passion to support and mentor new and pre-service teachers on Twitter, @teachwithsoul. Lisa Dabbs is also a Corwin Press author.
